Transtelecom Provides Ded Moroz Train With Internet Access

TransTeleCom provided Internet access for the Ded Moroz Train, a special New Year project of Russian Railways JSC.
The Ded Moroz Train is a festively decorated traveling residence. The passengers of the train are Ded Moroz himself and his fabulous team. In each town where the Ded Moroz Train stops, a festive program featuring artists and entertainers is organized for station visitors, allowing them to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of a winter fairytale. Everyone is welcome to join in.
TransTeleCom ensures the operation of onboard systems by aggregating the communication links of all available mobile operators. This enables Wi-Fi access both on the train and for all those who come to meet Ded Moroz on the platform.

More than 500K Gb downloaded by the public TTK`s Wi-Fi spots at the railway stations

Since January 2023 about 730 thousand people used free access to Wi-Fi at railway stations. Thus, the users were able to download 509K Gb, which is 55% more than during the same period in the last year.
Visitors of Paveletsky and Leningradsky stations are leading of activity. For the last 3 months, passengers downloaded 16K and 12K Gb respectively. Also in the top three was the Adler station (Sochi region), where users downloaded 11K gigabytes at the same period.
The project of JSC "Russian Railways" and TransTeleCom to equip station free Wi-Fi access has been successfully started in September 2015.
Last year Wi-Fi appeared on 52 more station sites. Now more than 220 railway stations in the country can get online. In addition, a seamless connection to the Internet via Wi-Fi was launched at Leningradsky and Moskovsky stations, as well as at the Tver and Bologoye stations, which can be used by passengers of hi-speed Sapsan trains. A single seamless authorization eliminates the need to re-enter personal data when authorizing on one of the devices. The passenger can start using the service while sitting in the station waiting areas and continue in his or her seat on the train, or vice versa, without additional operations.

Federal communications carrier and provider of digital services TTK continues to develop public Wi-Fi access for passengers of the capital's railroad transport. The seamless wireless network is now operating at Lesnoy Gorodok, Ochakovo and Maryina Roscha stations opened in early 2023.
These stations are a part of the new Moscow Central Diameter MCD-4, which will be put into operation this year.
For several years TransTeleCom has been actively participating in the project of the Central Directorate of Passenger Facilities - a branch of Russian Railways to develop public seamless Wi-Fi networks at railways. TTK performed a large-scale upgrade of southern Russia segment of backbone network

TransTeleCom Company (TTK), a federal telecom carrier and provider of digital services, implemented a project to upgrade own fiber-optic infrastructure of southern segment of the backbone network.
DWDM optical infrastructure with the total bandwidth of 19,2 Tbit/s and the capability of reducing signal transmission delay by 10-15% was completed after two years construction in the following direction: Moscow - Voronezh - Rostov-on-Don - Volgograd - Saratov – Samara. The total lines length is more than 3,000 km.
Separately, but a part of this project, was constructed a new DWDM interconnection at the Ozinki - Uralsk border cross with Kazakhstan carriers and construction of a fiber-optic line from Moscow to Ozinki via Tula, which significantly increased the availability and attractiveness of TTK's network for cooperation on data transit traffic in this direction.
"As part of our development strategy, Company is actively engaged in modernization of backbone networks and expands cooperation with partners – national and foreign telecom carriers," noted Sergey Yakovlev, Telecom Business Director of TTK.

Seamless Wi-Fi connected "Sapsan" trains with stations: Moskovsky, Leningradsky, Tver and Bologoye

Russian Railways along with the federal telecom carrier and digital services provider JSC "Company TransTeleCom" extended a seamless network of wireless Internet access on high-speed "Sapsan" trains, on Leningradsky and Moscovsky stations, as well as Tver and Bologoye stations. Passengers on “Sapsan” trains now have stable uninterrupted access to the internet once they are authorized in the network when they move between trains and stations.
A single seamless authorization eliminates the need to re-enter personal data when authorizing on one of the devices. The passenger can start using the service while sitting in the station waiting areas and continue at his or her seat on the train, or vice versa, without additional operations.
To start using seamless Wi-Fi, passengers should to connect to the network from their mobile device and pass authentication.

More than a quarter of a million people used the public Wi-Fi service TTK at the major railway stations of Moscow in 2022

TransTeleCom experts analyzed the statistics of free Wi-Fi traffic usage at Moscow railway stations from January to September 2022. During this period Moscow railway stations passengers downloaded nearly 130,000 gigabytes using free wireless internet access.
Paveletsky station is a traffic-leader: passengers have downloaded about 33,000 Gb since the beginning of the year. The second place - Leningradsky station and the third goes to the Yaroslavsky. The visitors downloaded 32,000 and 20,000 gigabytes of data respectively.
Totally nearly 257,000 people have used this service at the capital's stations since the beginning of the year. According to this indicator the leader is the Leningradsky - about 78,000 persons connected to Wi-Fi. At Paveletsky station 43,000 people used free access and at Yaroslavsky station – 38,000 passengers, said Moscow Railways PR office.

TransTeleCom Provides Internet Access and DDoS Protection for the Final Stage of the Silk Way Rally

TransTeleCom Center Macroregion experts provided high-speed Internet access and DDoS attack protection service to the organising committee of the international Silk Way Rally. Connection with a speed of 300 Mbps was provided in Lipetsk, at the service centre station of the rally raid, where organisers, participants, and media gathered. The longest stage of the rally, from Volgograd, ended here, and the final stage, towards Moscow, began.
This year, the famous rally raid was held for the 12th time. The competition took place from July 7 to July 16 along the Astrakhan–Moscow route with a total distance of almost 4,500 kilometres. The final, 10th, stage Lipetsk–Moscow, stretching over 500 km (including the special section of approximately 118 km), determined the victory of several teams in the main event of the rally.
Throughout different seasons, such global motorsport stars as Nasser Al‑Attiyah, Carlos Sainz, Vladimir Vasilyev, Stéphane Peterhansel, Cyril Després, Sergey Karyakin, Yazeed Al-Rajhi, Aleš Loprais, Sergey Vyazovich, Anastasiya Nifontova, as well as top riders of the Russian KAMAZ-Master team – Firdaus Kabirov, Eduard Nikolaev, Dmitry Sotnikov, Anton Shibalov, Ayrat Mardeev, Andrey Karginov, – have participated in the Silk Way Rally. This year, the Silk Way debutant Nikita Mazepin, a well-known Russian Formula 1 driver, was the winner in his group.

Competitions in e‑sports were held on the premises of the DSTU for two days and included the strongest student teams of Russia.
DSTU and TTC have for several years been working in cooperation towards development of the University’s communications infrastructure, educational and research activities, and creation of favourable opportunities for attracting investment to the economy of the Southern and North Caucasian Federal Districts. TTK launches a cybersports tournament on Dota2

TransTeleCom, one of the largest Russian telecom operators, with the support of the SGL cybersports holding company, launches a large-scale cybersports tournament on Dota2 for players from all over Russia.
The company continues its initiative in holding eSports tournaments: the first TTC Dota2 Cup was held under the aegis of TTC-West Siberia during the difficult time of lockdown in spring 2020. It brought together players from Kemerovo, Omsk, Tomsk, Novosibirsk regions, Altai Territory and other regions of Russia.
Registration opens October 25, 2021, for the four qualifying tournaments, which will be held November 13-14 and November 20-21. The semifinal round will be November 27, and the final matches will be November 28, 2021.
Anyone can participate. All you need to do is gather a team, register for the qualifying tournament and show what you can do to win!

TransTeleCom won a tender to provide data transmission channels with a capacity of 100 Gbit/s each to China Unicom Global Limited

TransTeleCom won a tender to provide two more data transmission channels with a capacity of 100 Gbit/s each to a major Chinese telecommunications provider – China Unicom Global Limited.
The channels will link the traffic exchange point on the border of China and Mongolia with Moscow and Frankfurt am main.
Earlier in 2019, TransTeleCom already provided China Unicom Global with three 100-gigabit transit channels. The merits of the TTC and the importance of cooperation were noted by the Chinese partner: this summer, China UnicomGlobal presented TTC with the corporate award "Networkand Resources Cooperation Award".

Employees of TransTeleCom became winners of the All- Russian competition of professional skills World Skills Hi-Tech 2019 in the Quantum Technologies competency. The team played under the flag of Russian Railways. Summing up the competition was held at the end of last week in Yekaterinburg.
The team consisted of TTC employees: Leonid Sharov, chief specialist of the Primary Network Development Department of the Department of Technical Policy and Development, and Yevgeny Zelyutkov, project manager of the Strategy and Business Development Department. Under the terms of the competition, team members assembled and configured quantum communication systems, performed localization and troubleshooting, and demonstrated their skills in programming and computing on a quantum computer. According to TMT Consulting study, the operator is among the five biggest broadband service providers. By comparison to its results in Q4 2017, TransTeleKom has increased its subscriber base by 1.6%. TransTeleCom (TTK) has cooperated with JSC GLONASS, the operator of the state automated information system ERA-GLONASS. TTK provides JSC "GLONASS" with protected channels for the organization of a virtual communication network.
JSC GLONASS uses the TransTeleCom network of protected communication channels for the rapid transmission of an emergency data on highways. This data is collected by the ERA-GLONASS system from the regions of the country to the EMERCOM of Russia in the Sverdlovsk Region, located in Yekaterinburg. The incoming calls are processed by the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, which, if necessary, organizes the emergency response.

TransTeleCom (TTK) has cooperated with JSC GLONASS, the operator of the state automated information system ERA-GLONASS. TTK provides JSC "GLONASS" with protected channels for the organization of a virtual communication network.
JSC GLONASS uses the TransTeleCom network of protected communication channels for the rapid transmission of an emergency data on highways. This data is collected by the ERA-GLONASS system from the regions of the country to the EMERCOM of Russia in the Sverdlovsk Region, located in Yekaterinburg. The incoming calls are processed by the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, which, if necessary, organizes the emergency response.

TransTeleCom and China Telecom launch the first 100G link between Asia and Europe

TransTeleCom (ТТК) and China Telecom, one of China's largest telecommunication operators, have developped the first transit telecommunication route connecting China and Europe based on 100G ULH (Ultra Long Haul) DWDM technology. As a part of the project, the companies have constructed a new 100Gbps gateway interface on the border between two countries, in Russian city Zabaikalsk and Chinese one - Manzhouli.
TransTeleCom and China Telecom signed a contract for the lease of a 100 Gbps terrestrial telecom link from the Chinese border to the Frankfurt Internet Exchange Point (F-IX). The contract was awarded by results of selective tendering procedures and is signed for a 10-year period. At present, TTK holds near 20% of the international China-to-Europe data transit market, which represents a half of the Russian transit traffic market.

TransTeleCom (TTK) has signed an agreement with the Ministry of Informatization and Communication of the Republic of Tatarstan and the GBU "Road Safety" on the implementation of a pilot project which helps to fix violations of the highway code at railway crossings.
The cooperation is aimed to improve the traffic safety on railway crossings in the Republic of Tatarstan. The agreement was signed by Roman Shayhutdinov, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Informatization and Communication of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rifkat Minnikhanov, Director of the State Road Safety Administration, and Roman Kravtsov, President of TransTeleCom Company.
The contract with JSC Russian Railways charges TransTeleCom to provide railway crossings in the Republic of Tatarstan with equipment for photo and video surveillance of violations of highway code. TransTeleCom is engaged in the supply, installation and commissioning of systems which automatically detect violations of traffic rules at the crossings and capture photos of the vehicle of the violator. In addition the equipment can identify the license plates.
As the part of the pilot project all the information from photo and video cameras will be transferred to the "Road safety" organization in order to fix violations and to collect data for statistics. The organization is engaged in improving road safety, reducing the level of accidents and traffic injuries on the roads of the Republic of Tatarstan, ensuring the proper condition of highways.
As for the placement of photo and video capturing systems, The Ministry of Informatization and Communication of the Republic of Tatarstan will provide assistance with coordinating this process with authorized bodies, and will ensure the collection and compilation of statistical information on the implementation of the pilot project. This data will include the information on the number and types of recorded violations of the Road Traffic Regulations, decisions on cases of administrative violations, as well as the payment of fines resulted in the budget revenue of the Republic of Tatarstan

Russian Television and Radio Broadcasting Network (RTRS) continues an implementation of the Federal Targeted Program 'TV ad radio service development in Russia in 2009- 2018' in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). TransTeleCom Company is engaged as the contractor to build digital broadcasting stations.
On September 25, the opening ceremony of yet another station built by TransTeleCom took place in Oktyomtsy village, Khangalassky ulus (district). Now residents of four villages: Oktyomtsy, Tyokhtyur, Chapayevo and Ulakh-An may enjoy ten free TV-channels and listen to the high-quality digital radio.
"The broadcast service area will cover 95% of Yakutia citizens," said at the opening ceremony Egor Borisov, the Head of the Republic. "63 stations of 211 points to be built under the Federal Targeted Program (FTP) in Yakutia will have been launched by the end of the year." The overall number of stations built and put into operation in Yakutia since the beginning of the FTP in 2013 amounts to 148, they provide digital TV and radio service to 260 populated areas.

"Participation in the implementation of Federal program is a challenge for our company, especially taking into account its social value and Region peculiar conditions," shared Roman Kravtsov. "The active support from the republican authorities and a close cooperation with RTRS enable TransTeleCom to make a progress and meet the set objectives."

Yandex Money will operate through Internet by TransTeleCom

TransTeleCom will provide high speed Internet access to Yandex Money, well-known Russian e-payment service. The e-payments will be ensured via a 5 GB/s communication link.
According to the contract awarded to TransTeleCom after the open bidding procedure, the network operator will provide Yandex Money with an Internet access channel ensuring at least 5 GB/s traffic capacity for five years period. The connection of Yandex Money system to TTK network will be arranged in Moscow through the MSK-IX, Russian largest Internet exchange point.
"Delivery of services to major Russian players needed cutting-edge communications technologies is a key field for our B2B segment. Such an innovative company as Yandex Money belongs to such market players. TransTeleCom has been providing a 50 Mb/s virtual communication link between Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod to the e-payment service since 2014, traffic rate was increased to 100 Mb/s in 2016. Adler seen the highest Wi-Fi traffic at Russian Railway terminals this summer

The number of users of TransTeleCom Wi-Fi network available in railway terminals throughout Russia has increased and exceeded 2, 7 Million people. The amount of downloaded data reflects to the traditional summer growth of passengers. Nearly half a million users have already logged into Wi-Fi network at railway terminals this summer.
At the peak of summer, TTK witnessed changes in the rating of railway stations with the highest number of Wi-Fi connections. Adler railway terminal ranked first in total number of 'downloading' passengers with more than 17 500 people taking advantage of free Wi-Fi access while waiting for train. The TOP-10 also included rail terminals of Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Novosibirsk and Anapa.
The highest amounts of data downloaded via Wi-Fi connection were registered in cities as follows:

'Free Wi-Fi Access for key Russian Terminals has been successfully implemented by the Railway Terminal Division of Russian Railways and TransTeleCom Company since September of 2015. The total of 107 railway terminals has received wireless network access during the period. The overall amount of the downloaded data since the beginning of the project has reached today more than 1 PByte.
Since the beginning of 2017, more than 1,6 MN passengers have signed up with the railway terminals public Wi-Fi network in order to get access to messaging, online surfing and even online viewing of feature-length movies.
To take advantage of free Wi-Fi at railway terminals, you have to go through the authorization procedure only once, and your device will be automatically connected to the network in any railway terminal with available TTK Wi-Fi network.

The number of users of TransTeleCom Wi-Fi network available in railway terminals throughout Russia has increased and exceeded 2, 7 Million people. The amount of downloaded data reflects to the traditional summer growth of passengers. Nearly half a million users have already logged into Wi-Fi network at railway terminals this summer.
At the peak of summer, TTK witnessed changes in the rating of railway stations with the highest number of Wi-Fi connections. Adler railway terminal ranked first in total number of 'downloading' passengers with more than 17 500 people taking advantage of free Wi-Fi access while waiting for train. The TOP-10 also included rail terminals of Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Novosibirsk and Anapa.
The highest amounts of data downloaded via Wi-Fi connection were registered in cities as follows:
1. Moscow (Leningradsky, Kursky, Yaroslavsky, Kazansky and Paveletsky railway terminals)
2. Adler
3. Krasnodar
4. Novosibirsk
5. Chita
6. Rostov-on-Don
'Free Wi-Fi Access for key Russian Terminals has been successfully implemented by the Railway Terminal Division of Russian Railways and TransTeleCom Company since September of 2015. The total of 107 railway terminals has received wireless network access during the period. The overall amount of the downloaded data since the beginning of the project has reached today more than 1 PByte.
Since the beginning of 2017, more than 1,6 MN passengers have signed up with the railway terminals public Wi-Fi network in order to get access to messaging, online surfing and even online viewing of feature-length movies.
To take advantage of free Wi-Fi at railway terminals, you have to go through the authorization procedure only once, and your device will be automatically connected to the network in any railway terminal with available TTK Wi-Fi network.
